I hated Bakugo early on but over the course of the series he became my number one favorite character. Funnily enough Best Jeanist was my favorite pro hero even longer.

I'm happy they got so heated over this episode, it means it did it's job very well

The scene with Best Jeanist comforting Bakuko while he's crying, telling him it's okay and to rest, realizing just how terrible this situation was for a child.. was so perfect. Just everything about it and showing that Bakuko still just won't quit. UGH! SO GREAT!

The Portuguese/Spanish contol the South African trade route too closely. Their control over the New World's oceans was a lot looser but that route was incredible dangerous because only they had a rutter - the map, basically, that explained not only the shores/depths/rocks but also where to land for fresh water, which natives were willing to trade, etc. So yeah, Blackthorn's ship stole a Spanish rutter somewhere on the Eastern American coast. This means they sailed across the Atlantic to our East Coast, then went all the way south to Chile, through Magellan's Pass, and then back up north, probably to Mexico/California, then 5000 miles across the Pacific Ocean without anywhere to land for water, only the stars to guide them. They took the scenic route... This is all loosely based on real events. William Adams is the inspiration for Blackthorn, Toranaga is based on Tokugawa Ieyasu.

They animated as a vague bright light but we start up see his heart explode in the manga.

Unfortunately, this show has conditioned me with too many fake out deaths, so I won't believe it till this arc is over. Unfortunately, that also means if this does stick, it will have lost a lot of emotional impact on me. Because I immediately rolled my eyes at his "death" thinking 'yeah right"

Didn't realize how much of a conscious choice it was for the big three to have their moments before Bakugou. Everyone really ended up thinking one of them is gonna die only for the story to actually have it be the one they didn't expect.

Harima and Tenma really are just two fantastic dummies. As straight-faced as Akira is, she delights in fooling around with her friends. She's just stoic and introverted. I respect it.

MANGA SPOILERS --------------------------------- This might be the last good quality MHA reaction that the bros put out. If certain recent reaction series of theirs have taught me anything, it's that they will completely mentally check out from a show if something they don't like happens. And they are going to HATE the fake out death. I mean, I don't think anyone was a fan of the revival, but the bros have been pretty vocal about their desire for characters to die in MHA (even if I heavily disagree with their stance that character deaths are the only way to create stakes). I have a feeling that from next episode onward, they will be essentially hate-watching lol

Them really applauding MHA for killing people and saying it would suck if they Didn’t kill anyone, after knowing what happens…. *No spoiler please. Anime watcher only. I believe that Bakugo really is dead. The movie was a canon that means Bakugo did had the One For All quirk for a while, that's why he could talked to All Might's vestige. But since he only had One For All for a brief moment, he couldnt have a vestige in One For All while being alive like All Might. "But why Horikoshi gave him the level up if he was just gonna kill him 5 seconds after?" Well, I think the level up was not for Bakugo, it was for Midoriya. I believe even the brief moment Bakugo had OFA, he managed to passed on his quirk into OFA, but it would only be awaken after his death. Midoriya will have Bakugo's quirk, and remember that Midoriya said he wasnt fast enough to reach UA to join the fight? With Bakugo's quirk, he'll be the fastest hero. Lastly, I think Midoriya will be able to sense Bakugo's death before arriving to the fight.

I cried. Bakugo was truly the greatest hero there at that moment.

This ending monologue is so good, and the music does a lot of lifting in my opinion. "Three Hearts" is one gorgeous piece of score.

Remember back in s3 Jeanist also "died",and hes still kicking around,im not falling for it again,Bakugou isnt dead and if he is he will somehow come back.

I think that, in the manga, it took nearly a year until they showed Bakugo (Shigaraki's fight) again (because it suddenly focused in others fights) so it was even worse. Imagine Deku's face when he finally arrives

You guys are in for a real treat. Just a clarification: The book is a standalone story, and this show covers it fully in the first season. Clavell's other books in his "Asian series" were all set in other places throughout Asia, and different time periods. So if they do indeed make a second season of this they'll have to write their own story. Though given the quality of season 1 I believe they can pull it off. And it's not like there's not a lot to draw from Japanese history...

The scene in the anime didn’t make it really clear but Bakugo’s heart didn’t rupture because of his quirk but because ShigAFO struck him in the chest. Think the next episode will explain that hopefully.

Highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest reading the manga ch 355-362. It covers S7 Ep 10-11. Nothing past that. They left out some iconic scenes from the anime that I really wished they included. The animation did amazing with some of the action scenes and storytelling, but the manga is so much better with not only the artwork but also with conveying emotions and the severity of the situation.

Little correction: Bakugo didn’t die from his own quirk exploding his heart, Shigaraki pierced him and blew him back with his attack. Great reaction guys!

I'm waiting for the dub release on this episode but I've already read the manga chapter (the manga has 2-3 chapters left before or officially ends). I'm grateful that Bakugo has grown so much without his personality changing so dramatically. He still struggles with his emotions but he's genuinely good. I really did not like Bakugo until he finally apologized to Deku for treating him so poorly, and meant it. I can't wait to see the rest of this series in its animated form
